Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has died at 71 years old.
Medics were dispatched to the WWE icon's home in Clearwater, Florida early Thursday morning with operators stating it was regarding a "cardiac arrest."
The police responded to the call at 9:51 a.m. and Hogan was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue personnel before being taken to a nearby hospital.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
In May, it was widely reported he had underwent neck surgery.
Last year in an interview with YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul, external, Hulk said he had at least 25 operations in the last decade.
"I’ve had like 25 surgeries in the last 10 years," he said. "Ten back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders - everything."
Just a few weeks ago, Hogan's wife, Sky, whom he married in September 2023, denied rumors he was in a coma, stating his heart was "strong" as he recovered from surgeries.

Hulk transformed professional wrestling into a family entertainment sport. Before Hulk, wrestling catered to a fairly narrow audience. He carried the WWE (then WWF) on his back during the wrestling growth in the 80s and is widely credited with giving “Wrestling” mainstream appeal while setting it up reinvention in the 90s leading to one of wrestling's biggest ever factions in the world.
Hulk was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. He was removed in 2015 after a scandal erupted over racists comments while he was being secretly recorded during a sexual encounter. Gawker posted the clip and Hulk subsequently sued, winning the lawsuit.
Despite the controversies, Hulk Hogan will be remembered as one of the Biggest Names in Wrestling history.
