TRUMP SLAMS ZELENSKY OVER REFUSAL TO ACCEPT PEACE TERMS
"He has nothing to boast about! The situation for Ukraine is dire — He can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
His comments came a few hours after a meeting in London aimed at bringing about an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine had been downgraded after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he wouldn’t attend.
This is not the first time Trump has threatened Zelensky. He did so after the infamous meeting between himself, Vice President JD Vance, and the Ukrainian President at the White House earlier this year.
Trump’s latest post comes after the US government threatened to pull out of peace talks if progress was not made in the coming days. Earlier, talks between the U.S., Ukraine, and European officials to discuss ending Russia's war in Ukraine faltered on Wednesday.
“Emotions have run high today,” Zelensky said on X Wednesday after the talks.
